This lab adheres to the ForestGEO Code of Conduct and the NZCBI expectations of conduct for field work (document available upon request). All lab members and affiliates are expected to abide by this Code of Conduct during any activities in which they are associated with the lab.
FOR PROSPECTIVE LAB MEMBERS
The ForestGEO Ecosystems & Climate lab at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute (Front Royal, VA) includes postdocs, interns (most of whom have a BS and sometimes an MS), and other professionals/ academics. We have a partnership with the Smithsonian - Mason School for Conservation (SMSC) and regularly benefit from the participation of SMSC practicum students and REU’s.

Smithsonian Fellowships - Smithsonian offers fellowships for interns, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows. Particularly relevant is the Smithsonian Institution Fellowship Program (SIFP). Interested applicants should contact Dr. Anderson-Teixeira.
NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute - Our lab is one of several accepting REU students through the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation REU program (summers of 2026, 2027, and 2028).
